System Engineer V

The senior solutions engineer serves as the designer for on-premise application infrastructure topology. They will work closely with teams managing new or existing on-premise applications and their cybersecurity partners to understand and synthesize those applications' infrastructure requirements. The solutions engineer will take those inputs and design an application infrastructure topology based on United's standards and input from other infrastructure engineering teams. Designs can include but are not limited to physical or virtual servers, load balancers, storage, network location, etc. They will then present designs to an architecture review committee for feedback and approval. After the design is complete, the solutions engineer will collaborate with infrastructure engineering and operations teams to have infrastructure components built and configured to the application's requirements before handing everything off.
