The System Sterile Processing Educator implements education and competency assessments, quality assurance, and process improvements for the HLD S department across the Harris Health enterprise. Under the direction of the Director System Sterile Processing, this role serves as a resource and educator in the sterile processing and high-level disinfection fields. The System Sterile Processing Educator possesses in-depth technical expertise, collaboration skills, and competency in adult education. This role is responsible for orientation, continuing education and competency evaluation, and ongoing in-services for all sterile processing department (SPD) staff and affiliated personnel. The position is responsible for developing, administering, and measuring educational and quality assurance materials based on regulatory, industry, and evidence-based guidelines.
