Systems and Network Engineer

Our client is a leading player in the telecommunications infrastructure industry. As part of
its expansionary plan, it is seeking to employ an experienced professional to join them as
Systems and Network Engineer (Ref: KHXXX)
The Systems and Network Engineer is to manage and administer the organization's
Windows, Linux, AD, Office365 and Cloud environments and act as backup for the
management and administration of the corporate network.
The Engineer is responsible for managing and monitoring all installed systems and
infrastructure, ensuring optimal efficiency and the highest level of availability. He will
also provide technical support on various technical issues and problems relating to
hardware and software as well as network connectivity in the organization.
The Job
 Provide technical support and administration on Windows, Unix, AD, Office 365
and Cloud environments.
 Install, configure, test, and maintain operating systems, database, system
software and management tools.
 Monitor and respond to all system alerts and provide daily technical support in
terms of troubleshooting, diagnosing, and resolving hardware, software, and
other network and system problems.
 Collaborate with CyberSecurity team and perform regular system and security
patches on a timely basis.
 Perform incident investigation and resolution, and root cause analysis and
problem resolution.
 Coordinate with IT Infrastructure and Operations Manager for capacity and
availability management.
 Monitor IT tickets and provide appropriate resolution on a timely basis.
 Adhere to standard IT service delivery processes in accordance with IT
policies and procedures.
 Support all internal and external audits for IT Infrastructure.
 Act as backup for management and administration of network, such as routers,
switches, firewalls, load balancers, etc.
 Document and update infrastructure configuration and architecture diagrams.
 Any other related duties/tasks as assigned by immediate supervisor or Director,
Information Technology.
The Candidate
 Diploma / Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Computer Science / Information
Technology or equivalent.
 Minimum 5 years' experience in supporting Windows, Linux, Office 365 and Cloud
environments in a mid- to large-sized end-user organisation.
 Certification in Microsoft, Red Hat and/or VMware preferred.
 Good knowledge of Windows Active Directory, ADFS, DNS, DHCP
and networking protocols.
 Certification in Cisco, AWS, Security and ITIL is advantageous.
 Familiarity with any monitoring tools is advantageous.
 A motivated person with the ability to work independently, a good team
player and goal-oriented individual.
 Good interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.
