Systems Control Technician

Systems Control/Tech Control Technicians operate, monitor, secure and control the physical, data link, network and transport layers of the network, perform Circuit Restoration actions, and apply Quality Control and Performance Standards.

Applies subject matter knowledge to high level analysis, collection, assessment, design, development, modeling, simulation, integration, installation, documentation, and implementation. Analyzes network characteristics (., traffic, connect time, transmission speeds, packet sizes, and throughput) and recommends procurement, removals, and modifications to network components. Designs and optimizes network topologies and site configurations. Plans installations, transitions, and cutovers of network components and capabilities. Coordinates requirements with users and suppliers.
