Overview

Systems Development Engineer, Managed Operations — AWS EU Sovereign Cloud (ESC). AWS is building the inaugural European Sovereign Cloud and seeks experienced systems development engineers with strong automation and operations background to join the AWS Managed Operations team. You will help build and lead operations and development teams delivering high-availability AWS services (EC2, S3, Dynamo, Lambda, Bedrock) for EU customers. Responsibilities

• Oversee the launch of the ESC in 2025, collaborating with global AWS teams and influencing the evolution of AWS services and technology.
• Collaborate with technology leaders to enhance day-to-day operations and improve availability, reliability, latency, performance, and efficiency of the ESC.
• Participate in on-call rotations to resolve incidents occurring out of hours.
