Systems Engineer

Informatech is seeking a permanent Systems Engineer to support a major Defence program, contributing to delivery, integration and assurance activities across Navy platforms.

Clearance: NV1 or above, and Australian Citizenship

Key Responsibilities

Develop and deliver detailed engineering plans for assigned Navy platforms, ensuring alignment with SPO requirements and platform engineering leads.

Work closely with Managers to ensure platform engineering packages are approved ahead of deployment schedules.

Coordinate with Engineering Managers to plan and track deliverables in line with agreed milestones.

Identify engineering risks, issues and opportunities across assigned platforms.

Provide specialist engineering advice and contribute to strategic decision making.

Establish and maintain engineering control processes and governance.

Prepare engineering documentation, briefs and presentations for project management.

Conduct cost analysis and due diligence on contractor surveys, proposals and quotes.

Skills and Experience Required

Bachelor of Engineering or relevant tertiary qualification.

Demonstrated experience as a Systems Engineer within Defence.

Strong background working with Navy platforms and Delivery Groups.

Practical experience with Navy AD514 engineering processes.

Highly organised, process‑orientated and attentive to detail.
