Job Description

Responsibilities:
  • Maintaining and support the firm’s global trading Linux infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance. 
  • Diagnosing, prioritizing, and resolving complex incidents and service requests with a sense of urgency. 

  • Proactively identifying issues, implement planned changes, and develop long-term solutions to improve service reliability and prevent recurrence. 

  • Contributing to the automation of provisioning, configuration, and monitoring across thousands of Linux servers. 

  • Managing and optimize critical core services including DHCP, LDAP, DNS, and NFS across on-prem, hosted data centers, and public cloud environments. 

  • Collaborating cross-functionally with support, development, core infrastructure teams, and other stakeholders to solve complex technical challenges. 

  • Leading and execute infrastructure projects and the deployment of critical production changes. 

  • Monitoring and ensure optimal performance and health of the firm’s low-latency infrastructure. 

  • Participating in an on-call rotation and occasional weekend support as part of a global team. 

  • Maintaining active daily communication with trading teams and core engineering groups. 
  • Qualifications:
  • 3–6 years of hands-on experience managing and maintaining complex Linux environments.

  • Proven experience with automation and monitoring tools, including configuration management, version control, CI/CD, and automated deployments.

  • Solid understanding of Linux OS concepts, internals, and performance tuning.

  • Strong knowledge of Intel-based server hardware and related components.

  • Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code (IaC) methodologies and tools.

  • Proficient in Bash scripting; strong working knowledge of Python & Solid grasp of server-side networking fundamentals and common network protocols.

  • Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.

  • Experience with container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes

  • Contributions to open-source or personal technical projects demonstrating passion for technology.
