About the role
As a Level 2 Systems Administrator,you will be a vital member of our service desk team and the go-to expert for escalatedtechnical issues. You will be responsible for maintaining and supporting adiverse range of client server, network, and cloud infrastructure. This is adynamic, hands-on role that offers a perfect mix of resolving challengingsupport tickets, managing core infrastructure, and contributing to a variety ofIT projects, providing you with broad technical exposure.
Must haves:
- Provenexperience in a Level 2 or Level 3 Service Desk capacity and SystemsEngineer role, ideally within an MSP.
- Stronghands-on experience with Microsoft 365 administration (Exchange Online,SharePoint, Teams, Entra ID).
- Hands onexperience of Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualisation(VMware).
Role and Responsibilities
- Provide timely and effective Level 2technical support for escalated issues from the service desk.
- Administer andsupport Microsoft 365 environments, including user management, mail flow,SharePoint permissions, and Teams configuration.
- Performadministration and troubleshooting of client server infrastructure,including Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, and DHCP.
- Manage andsupport client network infrastructure, including switches, routers, andfirewalls (Cisco Meraki).
- Manage andmonitor client backup and disaster recovery solutions to ensure dataintegrity.
- Participate inIT projects, including server migrations, network upgrades, and new clienton-boarding.
- Create andmaintain clear, detailed documentation for client systems and procedures.
Experience/Skills
- Strongtechnical proficiency across the Microsoft 365 suite.
- Solidexperience with Windows Servers, Active Directory, and virtualisationtechnologies (VMware).
- Fundamentalunderstanding of networking principles (IP, subnets, DNS, DHCP) andhardware.
- Excellentanalytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience inan MSP environment is highly desirable.
- Experience withMedical, Dental, Clinics, Healthcare clients is highly desirable.
- Familiaritywith scripting (PowerShell) and exposure to SAN/NAS technologies areadvantageous.
Qualification
- Essential:Higher School Certificate (HSC), Certificate IV in Information Technology,and/or Microsoft Technology Associate (MSA).
- Desirable:A Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, along with anyrelevant networking or server-related certifications (e.g., Microsoft,CompTIA, Cisco)
