Avistrat is an engineering capability builder for aerospace and defense.


This role is of a Systems Engineer working within a defence R&D environment focused on complex naval platforms and mission systems . It is well suited for professionals passionate about architecting and engineering electronics- and software-intensive defence systems, and applying Systems Engineering, MBSE, and Digital Engineering practices on real-world naval programs.


The Systems Engineer works closely with multidisciplinary teams across electronics, software, mechanical, test, and domain specialists, contributing across the system lifecycle-from concept and architecture through integration, verification, and validation. The role requires leading by example through technical rigor, collaboration, and responsiveness, in alignment with the expectations of a high-assurance defence environment.

Location: New Delhi


Relevant Experience (Must have)


3-5 years of industry experience in systems engineering or product development, preferably in defence, aerospace, or safety-critical domains.


  • Hands-on experience in product development and system architecture for complex systems.
  • Practical exposure to Systems Engineering / MBSE / Digital Engineering practices.
  • Experience with MBSE tools such as Capella, Rhapsody, or equivalent .
  • Strong experience in requirements authoring, management, and traceability using tools
  • Experience with behavioral modeling and simulation.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with experience interacting with
  • customers, stakeholders, and cross-functional teams.


Nice to have Experience


  • Exposure to naval systems, defence platforms, or mission-critical systems.
  • Knowledge of electronics- and software-intensive system architectures.
  • Strong understanding of SysML and its application in MBSE.
  • Experience in Verification & Validation (V&V) planning and execution.
  • Experience implementing and maintaining quality assurance and configuration control
  • across project stages.
