HX5 is currently seeking a Systems Integration Engineer to join our team in Dayton, Ohio at Wright-Patterson Air Force Base. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Perform systems engineering to include expertise in systems design and integration; manufacturing, quality and industrial engineering; airworthiness; and configuration and data management.
  • Execute AFPD 62-6, USAF Airworthiness, through standardized processes, and issuance of flight authorizations. 
  • Assist in reviewing, developing, and updating applicable program documentation for systems engineering relevant requirements/issues.
  • Education and Experience:

  • Must have one of the following combinations of education and experience:Bachelor’s degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited program and fifteen (15) years of relevant experience.Master’s degree in engineering from an ABET-Accredited program and twelve (12) years of relevant experience.
  • Must have five (5) years of Government Acquisition experience.
  • Must have knowledge of systems engineering in support of system definition, development, integration, verification methods, sustainment, risk modeling/simulation, testing and evaluation, human system integration (HSI), crew stations engineering, OSS&E efforts, interoperability requirements, and airworthiness certification across a wide range of hardware and software systems, including ground-based systems. 
  • Position Type/Expected Hours of Work:

    This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week and offers a flexible work schedule Monday through Friday during core business hours.

    Other Position Requirements:

  • Proof of U.S. Citizenship or US Permanent Residency is a requirement for this position.
  • Must be able to complete a U.S. government background investigation.
  • Must be able to obtain a Secret clearance by date of hire. 
  • Must be able to travel, including air travel.
