Systems Testing/QA Specialist (Contract – 12 months)

Apply for the Systems Testing/QA Specialist role at isgSearch . This position focuses on testing and QA activities for provincial health technology systems including the Provincial Consent Override Interface (PCOI) and Consent Management Technology Asset (CMTA).

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute manual test cases and test data.
• Execute functional and system integration testing for UI and backend components, including connectivity and error‑handling tests.
• Develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools such as Selenium, SOAPUI, and data‑driven frameworks.
• Provide test estimates to the Test Lead and contribute to testing strategy and tool selection.
• Collaborate with IT and project leads during analysis, design, implementation, and ongoing system support.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in testing and automating electronic health‑related applications.
• Hands‑on experience with UI and Web Services automation tools (Selenium, SOAPUI, JIRA, Dexter, etc.).
• Strong knowledge of FHIR and HL7 messages and data structures.
• Experience with RESTful APIs, OAuth/JWT authentication, and SQL databases.
• Familiarity with Agile‑Scrum, test planning, test case writing, execution, and reporting.
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, Maven, GitLab) and automated test suite maintenance.

Desired Skills

• Programming experience in at least one language.
• Experience coding automated test scripts and creating test strategy documentation.
• Understanding of testing methods in object‑oriented environments and structured development life‑cycle models.
• Knowledge of AODA standards and accessibility best practices.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork skills.
