Tally Developer

Location: Remote / Hybrid

About the Role

We’re looking for a Tally Developer who actually knows TDL, not someone who’s only tweaked invoices. You’ll work on real-world customizations in Tally ERP / Tally Prime, building features that businesses actually use—reports, integrations, and workflow automation.

If you’ve lived inside TDL, debugged ugly client data, and shipped custom solutions—this is your lane.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain customized solutions in Tally ERP / Tally Prime using TDL

• Create and modify:

• Custom reports

• Vouchers & voucher types

• Masters (Ledger, Stock, Cost Centres, etc.)

• Forms, menus, and buttons

• Implement business logic for accounting, inventory, taxation, and compliance

• Integrate Tally with:

• External systems (APIs, Excel, databases, web apps)

• Import/export via XML, JSON, CSV

• Optimize existing TDL code for performance and reliability

• Debug production issues and provide quick fixes

• Work closely with functional consultants/clients to understand requirements

• Document customizations and deployment steps clearly

Must-Have Skills (Non-Negotiable)

• 2–3 years of hands-on TDL development experience

• Strong command of:

• TDL syntax & concepts

• Reports, Forms, Parts, Lines, Fields

• Collections, Functions, Events, Hooks

• Solid understanding of:

• Accounting fundamentals

• Inventory management

• GST / taxation workflows (India-specific is a plus)

• Experience with Tally Prime customization

• Data integration experience (XML/JSON/Excel)

• Ability to debug and optimize TDL code

• ODBC / SQL integrations

• REST APIs

• Exposure to:

• Multi-company / multi-branch Tally setups
