• Job Description

We are looking for a Tally Integration Consultant with strong expertise in Tally APIs and internal data structures to build and maintain ETL pipelines that move financial data from Tally into the Data Mocha platform.

This role focuses on data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL). Dashboard development is out of scope for this role.

• Responsibilities

1. Tally Data Extraction

• Extract financial data from Tally using Tally XML / HTTP APIs
• Work with Tally data including:
• Vouchers (Sales, Purchase, Payments, Receipts, Journals)
• Ledgers, Groups, Chart of Accounts
• Customers, Vendors, and Bank accounts
• Budgets, Cost Centers, and Allocations
• Support multiple companies and financial years

2. ETL Pipeline Development

• Design and implement ETL pipelines from Tally to backend data stores (MongoDB or SQL)
• Transform data to support financial analytics such as:
• Profit & Loss
• Balance Sheet
• Payables and Receivables
• Cash Flow
• Budget vs Actual
• Ensure pipelines support:
• Incremental loads
• Re-processing and backfills
• Failure recovery

3. Data Accuracy & Reconciliation

• Validate financial data by:
• Ensuring debit and credit balances match
• Reconciling ledger balances
• Matching totals with standard Tally reports
• Identify and help resolve data discrepancies

4. Collaboration

• Work closely with backend and analytics teams
• Provide clean, well-structured datasets
• Explain Tally data structures and accounting logic as required

5. Knowledge of TDL (Nice to Have)

• Should have basic knowledge of TDL (Tally Definition Language)
• Ability to understand existing TDL definitions
• Assist with advanced extraction or event-based integrations in later phases

• Requirements

Must Have

• 10–12 years of overall experience in the financial / accounting domain
• 4-6 years’ of hands-on experience in Tally
• Strong experience with Tally integration
• Hands-on knowledge of Tally XML / HTTP APIs
• Deep understanding of Tally data structures
• Experience building ETL pipelines
• Working knowledge of databases (MongoDB, SQL, or similar)

Good to Have

• Exposure to TDL
• Knowledge of Indian accounting and compliance data (GST, TDS)
• Experience with data validation and reconciliation

• Accurate and reliable ETL pipelines from Tally
• Financial data matches Tally reports
• Incremental sync works without duplication
• Analytics teams can consume data without manual intervention
