A leading global financial services organisation is seeking a Tax Accountant to join its established Tax Operations team within Asset and Fund Services. This role plays a key part in the delivery of high-quality tax reporting and compliance services to a diverse portfolio of clients.

Reporting to the Tax Operations Manager, you will be responsible for supporting client deliverables, ongoing tax reporting, client transitions and project work impacting the broader Tax Services function. The role offers exposure to complex fund and investment structures, with a strong focus on unit trusts, superannuation funds and financial instruments.

You will work closely with teams across Fund Administration, Custody Operations, Risk and Relationship Management, operating within a well-governed environment that places strong emphasis on technical accuracy, operational risk management and regulatory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of unit trust distribution calculations, taxable income calculations and tax reporting deliverables
• Preparation of superannuation fund tax calculations, tax returns and BAS
• Management and maintenance of tax reporting infrastructure, templates and tax profiles
• Review and upkeep of security static data used to drive tax reporting and calculations
• Support client transitions, project deliverables and testing of tax templates and processes
• Train and mentor junior Tax Accountants across distribution and fund tax calculations
• Respond to and resolve client tax queries in a timely and professional manner
• Ensure adherence to operational risk, compliance and control frameworks
• Collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across Operations and Relationship Management

About You

• Degree qualified in Accounting, Business, Commerce or a related discipline
• CA or CPA qualified
• Experience in fund tax, tax accounting or financial services tax roles
• Strong technical understanding of trusts, superannuation funds and or financial instruments
• Experience working with central accounting systems and performing reconciliations
• High attention to detail with a strong process and risk mindset
• Clear, confident written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage competing deadlines in a client focused environment
