New Directions Education are recruiting a pool of compassionate, skilled and dedicated Medical Needs Teaching Assistants to support learners across a cluster of Secondary SEN settings in North Bradford. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals who are passionate about helping young people with complex and medical needs to thrive in the classroom.

We are looking for people who are:

  • Experienced in supporting Secondary age learners with medical or complex health needs.
  • Confident in assisting with personal care and following individual healthcare plans.
  • Knowledgeable in trauma-informed approaches and therapeutic behaviour support.
  • Team-Teach trained is desirable but not essential.
  • Understanding of a range of SEND needs, including Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC), Speech, Language and Communication Needs (SLCN), and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH).
