New Directions Education is currently recruiting a dedicated and experienced Teaching Assistant for full-time agency work in schools across Cardiff. This role is ideal for someone who is passionate about supporting pupils and has strong experience in intervention work and managing challenging behaviour.

The successful candidate will ideally hold a Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification and have proven experience working with children who require additional support.

Key responsibilities:

  • Supporting the class teacher with lesson delivery and classroom management
  • Delivering targeted intervention sessions in small groups or on a 1:1 basis
  • Supporting pupils with Additional Learning Needs (ALN)
  • Managing and responding positively to challenging behaviour
  • Promoting engagement, confidence, and positive learning experiences
