Leader Education are recruiting a Teaching Assistant for an alternative provision in Gateshead, supporting Key Stage 3 and 4 learners who have transitioned from mainstream education due to SEMH, behavioural needs, and low-level or unidentified SEND.

The provision works closely with pupils to understand and address underlying needs and provide tailored support that helps them thrive. With access to in-house specialists in mental health, the setting supports students from Year 7 to Year 11, with a clear focus on helping each young person reintegrate into mainstream education or transition to the setting that best meets their individual needs.

The normal working pattern is Monday-Friday 8:30 until 15:30 and is a long-term position.
