SANZA Teaching Agency are recruiting on behalf of a delightful special needs school in Newham. We are seeking reliable, committed and nurturing teaching assistants with experience supporting young people with additional needs to join their team.
About the school:
The school is a lovely, purpose- built facility that caters to students aged 4- 16 years with Autism (ASD). It is small and nurturing, with a warm community feeling.
About you:
Previous experience with special needs, specifically Autism, is highly desirable
Previous experience as a teaching assistant/learning support assistant
Experience with specialist communication methods (Makaton, PECS, BSL, AAC devices, etc.) may be desirable
Ability to encourages positive peer relationships and social development
Ability to supports emotional regulation and coping skills
Openness to training in Autism strategies, communication approaches, ...
