Role Overview

We’re looking for a Team Lead – Copywriter who can think conceptually, write sharply, and lead a team of writers across multiple brands and formats. This role is for someone who understands how copy drives performance , not just awareness.

You’ll own the creative quality, tone, and consistency across accounts while mentoring junior writers and collaborating closely with design, strategy, and performance teams.

Key Responsibilities


Creative & Strategy

  • Lead copy development across performance ads, brand campaigns, social media, landing pages, websites, and emailers
  • Translate brand strategy and business goals into compelling, conversion-focused copy
  • Ensure platform-native writing (Meta, Google, LinkedIn, YouTube, etc.)
  • Maintain brand voice consistency across all touchpoints

Team Leadership

  • Manage, mentor, and review work of junior and mid-level copywriters
  • Set writing benchmarks, frameworks, and quality standards
  • Allocate work, manage timelines, and ensure on-time delivery
  • Conduct regular feedback sessions and skill development reviews

Collaboration

  • Work closely with designers, performance marketers, and account managers
  • Participate in campaign ideation, pitches, and client presentations
  • Interpret data insights and optimize copy based on performance metrics

Required Skills & Experience

  • 5–8 years of copywriting experience in a digital/creative agency
  • Proven experience leading or mentoring a writing team
  • Strong portfolio covering performance ads, brand copy, and long-form content
  • Deep understanding of digital platforms and audience psychology
  • Ability to write both sharp performance copy and strong brand narratives
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills


Good to Have

  • Experience working with D2C, tech, or high-growth brands
  • Understanding of CRO, funnels, and ad performance metrics
  • Exposure to AI-assisted writing tools (without losing human tone)
