Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Teamcenter AWC Customization Engineer responsible for developing, configuring, and extending Siemens Teamcenter Active Workspace Client (AWC). The ideal candidate will have strong experience with AWC UI customization, Teamcenter server-side extensions, BMIDE, and web technologies such as Java Script, HTML5, Angular JS/React, Node.js.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and develop custom AWC components using Teamcenter Active Workspace Framework.
- Customize and configure AWC using Style Sheets, SOA services, and XRT definitions.
- Integrate AWC with backend services and other enterprise applications.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues in AWC related to performance, UI errors, and user experience.
- Work on BMIDE configurations to support AWC customizations.
- Maintain and optimize existing custom features in AWC as per evolving business requirements.
- Participate in Teamcenter version upgrades, AWC patching, and testing.
- Support AWC deployment activities across development, testing, and production environments.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, PLM admins, and end-users to ensure smooth rollouts and support.
- Document all customizations, configurations, and deployment steps for support and audits.
Required Skills and Experience:
- 3-5 years of experience with Teamcenter, with at least 3 years in AWC customization.
- Hands-on experience in:
- AWC customization Style Sheets, Tiles, Command Panels
- SOA & REST APIs for backend integration
- XRT (e Xtended Rendering Templates) and AWC configuration files
- BMIDE for object modeling and preference management
- Expertise in: Java Script, Type Script, HTML, CSS, AWC declarative programming, TC SOA / REST, BMIDE (business objects, relations, properties), ITK & C/C++ (for server customizations)
- Working knowledge of RAC customization (nice to have).
- Good understanding of Teamcenter modules and architecture (2-tier / 4-tier).
- Experience with version control (e.g., Git), debugging tools, and deployment best practices.
- Familiarity with AWC theming and branding is a plus.
- Solid problem-solving and analytical skills.
