JOB SUMMARY


The Quality Control Technician is responsible for conducting inspections and testing in accordance with quality documentation, code and other requirements, as well as assisting the Division Quality Manager with other QAQC tasks and activities.



ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS



  • Has strong basic knowledge of inspection, testing and NDE in the oil and gas industry (refinery and/or fabrication); may include structural, piping, tanks, vessels, equipment

  • May conduct NDE (non-destructive examination) and testing and report results. Testing methods may include, but are not limited to, MT, PT, RT, PMI, FE. Other interpretations and/or activities may include PMI, hardness testing, Ferrite determination and weld radiography interpretation

  • Inspection and testing activities to be carried out in compliance with procedure, code, standard and/or client specification
