Job Title: Tech Lead – Mobile Developer IV

Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid preferred, remote considered)

Contract Duration: 12+ Months



Overview:

We are seeking a highly experienced Tech Lead – Mobile Developer IV to lead the technical execution of a Customer Self-Service Companion mobile application. This role combines hands-on development with leadership, acting as the primary technical authority for mobile and backend systems. The ideal candidate will guide architecture decisions, mentor development teams, and ensure the delivery of secure, high-performance, production-ready mobile applications.



Key Responsibilities:

• Own end-to-end system architecture across mobile (Ionic + Capacitor/Cordova), backend services, messaging, and data persistence.


• Lead technical design decisions for event-driven architectures, push notifications, authentication, and real-time updates.


• Establish and enforce coding standards, best practices, and quality expectations.


• Act as the primary technical decision-maker for mobile and backend integrations.


• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalability, reliability, and enterprise compliance.


• Manage CI/CD pipelines, iOS builds, app signing, and deployment processes.

Required Skills:

• Mobile Architecture & Angular Expertise:
  
  
  
  
  • Lead architecture and development of Angular-based mobile applications.
  
  
  • Experience with Ionic/Capacitor (preferred) and modular, scalable app design.
  
  
  • Integrate AWS cloud services and iOS-specific functionality.

  • Mentor development teams, conduct code reviews, and enforce coding standards.
  
  
  • Drive CI/CD, production releases, and development lifecycle management.
  
  
  
  


• Mobile Performance & Quality:
  
  
  
  • Ensure optimal iOS performance, security, offline support, and user experience.
  
  
  • Deliver stable, production-ready mobile applications meeting enterprise standards.
  
  
  
  

Requirements

• Ability to provide two professional references.


• Preferred: Onsite presence in Chicago, IL or Houston, TX 1–2 days/week. Remote candidates will also be considered.
