We are currently recruiting for a Technical & Adaptations Officer on behalf of a Local Authority client in Kent on a permanent basis.

This is a hands‑on enforcement and advisory role within Housing, covering HHSRS inspections, HMO compliance, housing adaptations, and Disabled Facilities Grants. You will work directly with tenants, landlords, homeowners, and internal stakeholders to improve housing conditions and deliver statutory housing services.

Responsibilities

• Investigate complaints relating to poor housing conditions and undertake property inspections using the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).
• Inspect HMOs in line with licensing requirements, management regulations, and housing condition standards.
• Prepare letters, schedules of work, and statutory notices to secure property improvements....
