About the role

We have a permanent opportunity within our Project Management team for a Technical Advisor Civil to undertake site inspections and reporting on contractor performance to ensure infrastructure projects are completed in accordance with the contract specifications, technical standards and to HSE and Quality (HSEQ) policies and procedures. Based in our Leederville office, this role will be reporting to Team Leader - Civil Quality Assurance.

What the role will involve

·        Monitor the civil construction of infrastructure assets on major and minor  projects  and ensure work conforms to contract specifications, corporate technical and quality standards and is suitable for acceptance by Water Corporation

·        Prepare detailed reports to record site activities, to ensure contractors HSEQ of works and identify deficiencies

·        Measure contractor performance, report deviations from specifications and construction program to the Superintendent’s Rep/Project Manager and initiate appropriate actions

·        If required, provide input into contract claims and contract disputes through resolution processes

·        Ensure compliance on site with all relevant Water Corporation HSEQ standards and specifications

 

Key skills and experience

You’ll bring your civil construction and infrastructure experience, this will help oversee contract specifications of new infrastructure assets, and ensure quality standards are met by contractors, keeping your project team up-to-speed on contractor performance, deviation reporting, and actionable repairs.

In addition, your experience and knowledge in a broad range of related engineering infrastructure and civil construction techniques, excellent stakeholder management skills, along with the ability to work as part of a team, and independently will ensure success in this role.
