Inviting applications for the role of Technical Associate - Linux Admin

Responsibilities:

·Manage, support, and maintain Linux installed systems.

·Install, configure, and maintain Linux servers.

·Troubleshoot and resolve server and network issues.

·Monitor system performance and make recommendations for improvements.

·Create and maintain documentation for system configurations and procedures.

·Work with team members to design and implement new solutions.

·Perform routine maintenance tasks such as backups and updates.

·Participate in on-call rotation for after-hours support.

·Install, upgrade, migrate and maintain Linux based systems.

·Ensure security of systems and data

·Manage system backups, restore, and recovery.

·Manage and maintain printers and scanners.

·Manage user accounts, groups, and services.

·Manage and maintain storage.

·Work with users to resolve account/system issues.

Qualifications we seek in you!!!

Minimum qualifications / Skills

·Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field

·Good years of experience administering Linux (OEL) (boot process, file systems, network device and protocol configuration, updates, and patches)

·Experienced in understanding and remediating security threats. 

Preferred qualifications / Skills

·Very good written and presentation / verbal communication skills with experience of customer interfacing role. In-depth requirement understanding skills with good analytical and problem-solving ability, interpersonal efficiency, and positive attitude.

·Knowledge with cloud computing platforms (AWS, Azure)

·Knowledge of configuration management tools (Ansible, Puppet, Chef)

·Knowledge with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)

·Certifications in Linux and/or VMWare
