Technical Buyer (m/f/x)
Main tasks
Procurement of technically demanding mechanical components such as plastic, stamped and bent partsObservation and analysing of procurement markets as well as development and implementation of global/regional purchasing strategiesImplementation of the delivery plan in accordance with the relevant strategiesConducting contract and price negotiations as well as cost reduction discussions on the basis of cost targets, deadlines and quality requirementsRenegotiating complex or critical supplier agreements in line with supply strategiesEvaluation and optimization of the existing supplier portfolioMonitoring of the high quality standards and continuous development of existing suppliers in close coordination with supplier managementImplementation of the purchasing processIdentification and prevention of risks in the supply chainParticipation in escalation cases with suppliersOngoing optimization of the supply chain in consideration of the total costsClose cooperation with the related departments and supplier partnersData maintenance in SAP R/3 and preparation of all documents required for supplier relationships Your profile
University business/technical degree or comparable qualification3-5 years of professional experience in procurement; preferably in the automotive industryNegotiating skills and a strong technical understanding as well as an interest in technical issuesKnowledge of the requirements and processes of the automotive industry and SAP R/3Confident dealing with Microsoft Office – Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPointWillingness to travel (international)Business German and English fluent language skills, both written and spokenProfessional interpersonal, written and verbal communication skillsAbove-average commitment, independent work, assertiveness and communication skills as well as the ability to work in a team are preconditions
