This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Technical Document Writer to support nationally significant initiatives within a highly regulated Federal Government environment. The role focuses on reviewing, uplifting, and maintaining security related technical documentation, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and compliance with Australian Government security frameworks and publishing standards.

The successful Technical Writer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Review, update, and maintain security-related technical documents including policies, procedures, system guides, risk assessments, and user-facing security guidance
• Translate complex technical and security concepts into clear, plain-English content while maintaining accuracy and intent
• Work closely with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs), including technical security specialists and policy stakeholders
• Ensure documentation complies with branding, classification, metadata, and publishing standards

The successful Technical Writer will have experience in the following:

• Proven experience producing technical documentation in government or highly regulated environments
• Strong understanding of Australian Government security frameworks, including PSPF and the ISM
• Excellent plain-language writing and editing skills
• Demonstrated ability to engage with SMEs and translate technical input for non-technical audiences
