About the Project

The ASEAN-UK Supporting the Advancement of Girls’ Education (SAGE) Programme is the UK’s flagship education initiative with ASEAN, funded by FCDO. Phase II (2026–2029) aims to improve foundational learning outcomes for the most marginalized children, particularly girls, and strengthen national systems to sustain progress through locally led, evidence-based solutions. The programme will operate regionally across all 11 ASEAN Member States, with a deeper focus on Cambodia, Lao PDR, Timor-Leste, and potentially the Philippines.
