Technical lead (laravel)

Role Overview
We are looking for a Senior Laravel Engineer with strong backend fundamentals and hands-on experience building scalable, production-grade web applications. The role involves working closely with US-based stakeholders and engineering teams.
Role & responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain robust Laravel-based applications
- Build RESTful APIs and backend services for web & mobile platforms
- Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code
- Optimize application performance, security, and scalability
- Collaborate with frontend, product, and QA teams in US working hours
- Review code, mentor junior developers, and enforce best practices
- Handle debugging, production issues, and performance bottlenecks
- Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making
Preferred candidate profile
- 8+ years of backend development experience
- 6+ years of strong Laravel framework experience
- Proficiency in PHP, My SQL/Postgre SQL
- Experience with REST APIs, MVC architecture
- Strong understanding of queues, caching, cron jobs
- Hands-on with Git, CI/CD pipelines
- Experience with AWS / cloud environments is a plus
- Ability to work independently in a remote + US shift setup
