Technical Lead (Laravel)

Role Overview

We are looking for a Senior Laravel Engineer with strong backend fundamentals and hands-on experience building scalable, production-grade web applications. The role involves working closely with US-based stakeholders and engineering teams.

Role & responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain robust Laravel-based applications
• Build RESTful APIs and backend services for web & mobile platforms
• Write clean, scalable, and well-documented code
• Optimize application performance, security, and scalability
• Collaborate with frontend, product, and QA teams in US working hours
• Review code, mentor junior developers, and enforce best practices
• Handle debugging, production issues, and performance bottlenecks
• Participate in architecture discussions and technical decision-making

Preferred candidate profile

• 8+ years of backend development experience
• 6+ years of strong Laravel framework experience
• Proficiency in PHP, MySQL/PostgreSQL
• Experience with REST APIs, MVC architecture
• Strong understanding of queues, caching, cron jobs
• Hands-on with Git, CI/CD pipelines
• Experience with AWS / cloud environments is a plus
• Ability to work independently in a remote + US shift setup
