Role Overview

We are seeking a skilled Technical Operational Expert / Consultant with strong experience in PI System / AVEVA PI technologies to support operational intelligence, time-series data analytics, and digital transformation initiatives. This role requires hands-on technical expertise combined with strong domain understanding to build scalable, insight-driven solutions for operational and engineering teams.

Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience with PI Data Archive, PI Asset Framework (AF), and PI Vision .
• Strong familiarity with PI Interfaces and PI Connectors for data ingestion from multiple sources.
• Experience with PI SDK, AF SDK, and PI Web API for custom development.
• Ability to design and develop custom reports, dashboards, and visualizations using PI Vision and AF.
• Expertise in creating Event Frames, Attributes, Analysis Rules, and Templates .
• Proficiency in PowerShell, VBScript, or Python for automation within PI environments.
• Experience integrating PI with external tools and systems such as Power BI, SQL, OPC, and SCADA.
• Strong understanding of SQL and PI SQL Data Access Server (PI SQL DAS) .
• Experience with time-series data querying and performance optimization .

Functional / Domain Expertise

• Familiarity with AVEVA Data Hub (formerly PI System on Azure).
• Understanding of cloud-based storage and analytics platforms (Azure, AWS, Snowflake).
• Experience integrating PI data with Power BI or other BI platforms .
• Awareness of IIoT protocols such as MQTT and OPC UA.
• Knowledge of edge computing principles and integration with PI.
• Understanding of secure development practices and OT/IT security boundaries .
• Knowledge of operational metrics such as OEE, downtime, throughput, and efficiency .
• Ability to gather business requirements and build use-case-driven PI solutions .
• Strong ability to translate technical insights into business-impact outcomes .
• Experience documenting development processes, workflows, and technical designs .
• Provide training and ongoing support for internal users of PI dashboards and reports.
