Technical Program Manager (D365 F&O)

Role Summary

We are seeking an experienced Technical Program Manager (TPM) with strong expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations (F&O) to lead large-scale ERP programs. The role involves managing cross-functional delivery across business, engineering, integration, and partner teams while ensuring successful implementation, upgrades, and post-go-live stability of D365 F&O solutions.

Key Responsibilities

Program & Delivery Management

  • Own end-to-end program delivery for D365 F&O implementations, upgrades, and rollouts.
  • Define program scope, milestones, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
  • Manage risks, issues, and change requests across multiple workstreams.
  • Track program KPIs, budgets, and resource utilization.

D365 F&O Solution Oversight

  • Work closely with solution architects and functional leads across:
  • Finance
  • Supply Chain
  • Procurement
  • Manufacturing (if applicable)
  • Ensure technical and functional designs align with business objectives.
  • Oversee customizations, extensions, integrations, and data migration strategies.

Technical & Integration Governance

  • Govern integrations between D365 F&O and external systems (CRM, BI, WMS, 3rd-party apps).
  • Ensure best practices around:
  • X++ customizations
  • Extensions framework
  • LCS usage
  • Security and role design
  • Review technical designs, deployment strategies, and performance considerations.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  • Act as primary point of contact for business stakeholders, system integrators, and vendors.
  • Facilitate steering committee updates and executive communication.
  • Coordinate on-shore and off-shore teams for timely delivery.

Go-Live & Post Go-Live

  • Lead cutover planning, go-live readiness, and hypercare support.
  • Ensure production stability, defect triage, and continuous improvement.
  • Drive adoption, training readiness, and operational excellence.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 8+ years of overall experience with ERP / Enterprise systems.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations.
  • Proven experience as a Technical Program Manager / Program Manager on ERP programs.
  • Solid understanding of:
  • D365 F&O architecture
  • Integrations and data migration
  • Customization and extension frameworks
  • Experience working with Agile / Hybrid / Waterfall delivery models.
  • Excellent stakeholder communication and leadership skills.
