All about the role:

Within the Global R&D site, the Food Preparation – Oven Category team is looking for a highly motivated Technical & Project Leader to lead the development and industrialization of oven platforms and projects, ensuring technical excellence, cost competitiveness, and on-time delivery.

This role combines technical leadership and project management, acting as a key interface between R&D functions, Business Areas, and Manufacturing to drive platform and project execution.

What you’ll do:

In this position, you will lead cross-functional projects from design concept to industrialization, ensuring alignment on scope, timing, cost, and technical targets.

You will be the technical & project reference for the project and coordinate activities across Mechanical, Electrical, Software, Testing, Quality, Manufacturing, Procurement, and external partners.

You will interact globally with different R&D departments as well as with the Business Areas.

In detail, you will:

  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional development projects, ensuring delivery against Quality, Delivery, Cost, Features costs;

  • Act as technical owner of the project or platform, driving architectural choices and key technical decisions;

  • Define and manage project scope, milestones, risks, and mitigation plans, ensuring transparency and escalation when needed;

  • Coordinate technical activities across Mechanical, Electronics, Software, Testing, Quality, and Industrialization teams;

  • Drive cost competitiveness through design-to-cost, standardization, reuse, and supplier collaboration;

  • Lead technical reviews and governance processes (e.g. TdP, CPs, LoF, DFMEA, Risk Reviews);

  • Interface with Manufacturing and Supply Chain to secure industrial feasibility, ramp-up readiness, and stable series production;

  • Collaborate with Procurement and suppliers to validate technical solutions, cost targets, and risk mitigation actions;

  • Support prototyping, validation, and homologation activities;

  • Contribute to platform strategy, standardization, and continuous improvement initiatives across the organization.

Who you are:

  • University degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics, or similar);

  • Proven experience (5+ years) in technical leadership and/or project leadership, preferably in home appliances.

  • Strong technical background with system-level understanding of complex products;

  • Experience working in cross-functional and international environments;

  • Solid knowledge of project management tools, quality methods, and risk management (DFMEA, LoF, change management);

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills;

  • Ability to balance technical depth with project execution and business priorities;

  • Fluent English (written and spoken).

You will be based in Dudley Park, Australia, where one of Electrolux’s key sites for product development and industrial activities is located. In this dynamic and collaborative environment, teams work closely across R&D, Manufacturing, and Business Areas to develop and industrialize domestic appliances, contributing to global platforms and projects.
