We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to promote, support, and grow the use of weld equivalent pipe and tube fittings. The role requires a combination of technical expertise and sales acumen to develop customer relationships, provide engineering solutions, and achieve sales targets.
The ideal candidate will have experience in piping systems, instrumentation, or mechanical/chemical process industries, with a strong ability to communicate technical and commercial aspects of the products effectively.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute sales strategies to expand the use of product in oil & gas, chemical, and industrial applications.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities through market research, client visits, and networking.
- Provide technical presentations and demonstrations to engineers, maintenance personnel, and procurement teams.
- Collaborate with customers to propose suitable solutions for piping and instrumentation connections.
- Maintain CRM records, sales forecasts, and customer interaction logs.
- Work closely with engineering and product support teams to resolve technical queries and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Participate in trade shows, technical seminars, and industry events to promote brand awareness.
- Able to deliver effective product training and hands-on demonstrations to customers.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in technical sales, piping systems, or industrial fittings.
- Familiarity with oil & gas plant maintenance, instrumentation systems, or chemical process applications.
· Strong understanding of piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
· Strong mechanical aptitude and ability to interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
· Demonstrated ability to build and maintain long-term client relationships.
· Proven track record in B2B technical sales and relationship management.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and report preparation.
· Willingness to travel frequently within assigned regions for client meetings and site visits.
· Familiar with ASME B31 piping codes and standards
Work Environment
- Field-based with office reporting as required.
- Frequent interaction with engineering, procurement, and maintenance teams.
- Travel required (domestic or regional, depending on territory).
