Job Description
As the Technical Sales Manager for the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast USA region covering Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia & West Virginia, you’ll have the chance to establish and grow ICL's Growing Solutions business from the ground up. This role will require an entrepreneurial mindset and will be responsible for building and growing the sales of the crop nutrition portfolio including granular, water-soluble, controlled release, and liquid fertilizers. This will include customer relationship management from the distributor to retailer and grower level and a broad portfolio of ICL products. This role will work closely with product portfolio managers, agronomy, marketing, and sales operations to ensure a positive customer experience and the highest level of commercial excellence.
Location: This position will cover areas within the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast USA territory including Connecticut, Delaware, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Vermont, Virginia & West Virginia. When not traveling in the field, this position will work remotely from home.

Achieve/exceed territory sales budgets across the ICL product portfolioBuild relationships with existing retail and distribution clients within the territoryExpand relationships with new distributors, retailers, growersDevelop a sales growth plan for market expansion within the territoryProvide technical support to customers on the use of granular, liquid, water-soluble, and controlled-release fertilizers used in AgricultureDevelop and execute the sales and marketing strategy derived from the business plan including responsible management of company budgetsProvide market insight on competitor activityProduce sales forecasts on an annual basis and monthly updates to support the ongoing S&OP processRepresent the organization at trade shows, events, and demonstrationsFully utilize SalesForce for recording customer interactions and review SAP dashboard reports to manage the territory What skills and experience do I need to be successful in this role?
Bachelor’s degree in Agronomy or related field preferred with coursework in plant science, soil science, plant health, and plant nutrition preferredMust reside within the assigned territoryA minimum of three years of experience and demonstrated success with agricultural salesExisting distributor, retail, and/or large grower connections within the geographyExperience developing complete nutrient management programs following Good Agronomic Practices (GAP)Analytical skills: the ability to read and understand nutritional values relating to soil, water, and plant materialMust be able to manage personal goals, and corporate objectives and keep a customer-centric focusExcellent oral and written communication skills, including public speaking and presentationsComputer skills to include: Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Map PointMust have excellent decision-making and problem-solving skillsAbility to work in an outdoor setting that may be cool, wet, hot, or dry and could require standing, walking, and lifting of up to 50lbs in cool, wet, hot, or dry conditionsDemonstrated ability to contribute and collaborate in a team environmentEnthusiastic problem solver with a can-do attitudeTravel Requirement: 60% What will set me apart?

We also offer a generous benefits package (more information on benefits listed below).
Salary Range: $88,000 - $121,000
Annual Bonus Target: 20%, subject to plan provisions.
