Role: Technical Manager/ Senior Manager
Job Location: Pune – Viman Nagar
Reports to: Managing Director
Relevant Experience : 4-6 Years
Role Overview:
The Technical Manager / Senior Technical Manager – Heating & Ventilation is responsible for providing end-to-end technical leadership across Heating and Ventilation solutions, covering solution selling support, system design, project execution, commissioning, and service lifecycle support.
This role plays a critical part in enabling and unblocking technically complex sales opportunities related to hot water solutions and ventilation systems. The position supports consultants and customers by providing deep technical expertise, ensuring that heating, hot water, and ventilation projects are delivered with technical excellence, commercial viability, and high levels of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Solutioning & Sales Support
Provide advanced technical support to sales and specification teams to enable solution-based selling.
Support closure of technically complex opportunities involving:
- Heating and ventilation system design challenges
- Specification and compliance requirements
- Performance vs cost optimization
Engage with MEP consultants, architects, PMCs, and end customers for system discussions, presentations, and technical clarifications.
Review and suggest the best possible Solution:
- Technical proposals
- System layouts and schematics
- BOQs, specifications, and value engineering options
2. Heating & Ventilation System Design
- Lead and review end-to-end system design including:
Perform and review:
- Heat load calculations (manual and software-based)
- Equipment selection (heating systems, ventilation units, etc.)
- Ducting and piping layouts
- Ensure compliance with relevant national and international standards (ASHRAE, ISHRAE, etc.).
3. Project Execution & Commissioning Support
- Provide technical leadership during project execution, installation, and commissioning stages.
Coordinate with:
- Execution teams and contractors
- Vendors and OEMs
- Project management teams
Review RFIs, technical submittals, drawings, and reports with minimal turnaround time.
Support testing, commissioning, performance validation, and project handover.
4. Service & Lifecycle Technical Support
- Support service teams with:
- Technical troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Resolution of complex escalations
- Warranty, retrofit, and upgrade cases
- Ensure smooth transition from project completion to service operations.
Provide technical inputs for AMC, extended warranty, and lifecycle service offerings.
5. Client, Partner & Stakeholder Management
Act as a key technical interface for clients, consultants, partners, and internal stakeholders.
Participate in:
- Critical and Big project Client meetings, design reviews, and technical workshops
- Tender Bidding discussions and scope finalization
- Build long-term trust through technical credibility and responsiveness.
6. Team Leadership & Capability Building
- Oversee the recruitment of technical support personnel and proactively leverage industry relationships, vendors, and professional networks to identify and onboard suitable talent.
- Lead, mentor, and guide design engineers, project engineers, and technical specialists.
Support development of:
- Technical guidelines
- Design templates and best practices
- Conduct technical training for internal teams, partners, and regional teams.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with:
- Sales – to improve win rates and solution quality
- Projects – to ensure execution excellence
- Service – to enhance customer experience
- Group Technical Team – To engage with relevant stakeholders to gather required data and facilitate training.
Contribute to continuous improvement, standardization, and innovation initiatives.
Travelling across regional offices and project sites is must.
8.Qualifications(Must Have)
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering
- (B.E. / B. Tech – HVAC, Mechanical, or Building Services Engineering)
- from a recognized university or institution
Preferred / Value-Added Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering / Thermal Engineering / HVAC / Energy Systems (M.E. / M.Tech)
