Technical Support Analyst – Australia

BMC is looking for a Technical Support Engineer to join our team supporting the Control‑M product line, an orchestration and automation platform that helps the world’s largest companies automate time‑sensitive, business‑critical workflows.

Responsibilities

  • Perform in‑depth troubleshooting, including DB analysis, reading system logs, and debugging product code to identify and solve complex support issues escalated by other support levels.
  • Maintain a low rate of non‑bug escalations to the development team.
  • Write technical notes and troubleshooting procedures for the Support and Professional Services organization.
  • Resolve assigned cases to meet service level agreements, continuously providing updates to the business.
  • Serve as the focal point for the entire Professional Services organization.
  • Provide ongoing support and work closely with the business teams throughout the company.
  • Participate in an Agile‑Scrum environment.

Qualifications

  • Experience in technical support, deployment, or system administration (academic experience also relevant).
  • Experience reading and writing DB queries for PostgreSQL, Oracle, or MSSQL.
  • Experience with Internet technologies: network architecture, HTML, JavaScript, CSS, MySQL, and web servers.
  • Experience with system log analysis.
  • Creative troubleshooting abilities.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Self‑learner, highly motivated, team player with prioritization and time‑management skills.
  • Desirable: Web debugging (devTools, Charles), scripting or coding (Python or Java), Linux, server‑side debugging, familiarity with SaaS products and Datadog, experience in a multinational organization.

Salary

Annual base salary range AUD 71,325 – AUD 118,875. Actual salaries depend on a wide range of factors considered in compensation decisions.
