Job Summary:

In this role of technical support engineer | Azure Managed Services, the individual will be responsible for all Azure Managed Services related activities for our customers. Managed service activities includes monitoring health of the services, remediation of alerts/incidents, providing Level 1 technical support, administration of Windows/Linux VMs and provisioning/deprovisioning of Azure services. Technical support engineer will work with Level 2/3 resources and Microsoft support team for escalation support.

Technical support engineers will work on all the shifts on a monthly rotation basis.

Technical support engineer should have knowledge in the following:

• Conceptual knowledge of Azure IaaS, PaaS deployments and administration
• Experience on Azure IaaS core services such as Network, Storage, Compute, Database, etc.
• Familiarity with OS Internals concepts, built-in diagnostics, Active Directory and Security (Windows and or Linux)
• Understanding of Virtualization concepts and virtual system administration
• Familiarity with SAN/NAS, Hyper-V/VMWare, iSCSI
• Familiarity with networking concepts including TCP/IP, NAT, DNS
• Working knowledge of troubleshooting tools including Sysinternals, Fiddler, Netmon, NetStat, Tracert etc.
• Familiarity with one, or more, shell environments (BASH, sh, tcsh, ksh, etc.)
• Familiarity with core OS services such as: SSH, telnet, FTP, NFS, DNS, DHCP, Samba, LDAP
