The Role

Burley Appliances is a world-leading, family-run manufacturer of high-efficiency wood-burning stoves and gas fires. We are moving away from a pure administration role and looking for a Technically Minded Support Specialist to join our Oakham-based team. There is also an opportunity for a shared role with our sister company, Horisun Renewable Energy on one day / 8 hours per week basis, specializing in the office side of Solar Panel and Heat Pump installations.

This isn't just a data-entry job. While you will manage the sales function, a core part of your day will involve acting as a first-line technical helpdesk. You will be the person who explains the physics of flue draught to a customer, discusses nominal heat outputs, calculates the optimal number of solar panels for a property or identifies the correct parts for our gas fires.
