Responsibilities:
Lead and manage a team of technical professionals, providing guidance and support in REXX development and implementation.
Design, develop, and maintain REXX applications, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements and deliverables.
Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members to enhance code quality.
Identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring timely delivery of projects.
Stay updated with industry trends and advancements in REXX and related technologies.
Facilitate knowledge sharing and training sessions to enhance team capabilities.
Participate in project planning and estimation activities, contributing to resource allocation and scheduling.
Ensure compliance with organizational standards and best practices in software development.
Mandatory Skills:
Strong expertise in REXX programming language.
COBOL, JCL and VSAM
Proficient in software development methodologies and best practices.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to lead and motivate a technical team.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Skills:
Familiarity with other programming languages and technologies.
Experience in Agile methodologies.
Knowledge of database management systems.
Understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
Experience with version control systems.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
Relevant certifications in software development or project management are a plus.
