Technical Writer – DITA (Remote)

We are looking for a Technical Writer for a large, global B2B Software company. In this role, you will review and audit XML files to identify images that do not align with current standards.

This is a 3-month project (extension possible), 40 hours per week, remote role in the US.

This is a W2 employee of Stage 4 Solutions. Health benefits and 401K are offered.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate tracking of reviewed files and image changes in a spreadsheet, ensuring auditability and progress visibility.
  • Use structured authoring tools (DITA/XML, Oxygen XML Editor) and Git version control to manage and submit documentation updates.

    • Requirements:

  • Review like 40,000 files for images that do not match the client’s branding. If they don’t match their branding, you have to remove them and comment what image you removed. You will also have to track your work in a spreadsheet.
  • Proven experience in technical writing or documentation editing, preferably in a large content repository.
  • Hands-on experience with DITA XML and structured authoring tools such as Oxygen XML Editor.
  • Working knowledge of Git or similar version control systems for managing content changes.

    Compensation: $40/hr - $45.75/hr
