Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Technical Writer with a strong IT background and proven experience in proposal writing, solution documentation, and IT project/program coordination. The ideal candidate must have worked with Tier 1 or Tier 2 IT consulting firms (e.g., Client, IBM, Client, Cognizant) and possess a deep understanding of the U.S. IT consulting landscape, particularly across SLED (State, Local, and Education) and Federal agencies. Key Responsibilities

Proposal Writing & Solution Development
  • Understand Company Strengths, Past performances and make Bid/No Bid decisions
  • Write, edit, and review compelling proposals, RFP responses, and solution documentation for IT consulting services.
  • Collaborate with IT SMEs, delivery teams, and stakeholders to gather technical inputs and ensure accuracy.
  • Ensure proposals meet customer objectives, organizational benchmarks, and industry best practices.
  • Recommend Proof of Concepts, create Boilerplates and Case Studies to address repetitive RFPs.
  • Support the Proposal team by preparing project plans, budgets, and timelines aligned with client goals.
  • Continuously improve documentation, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Support recruitment efforts by technically evaluating the candidates
  • Conduct extensive market research, competitor analysis, and talent mapping for IT Projects.
  • Conduct quality control checks to ensure compliance with guidelines, specifications, and deadlines.
  • Ability to meet aggressive deadlines
  • A demonstrated technical aptitude and a thorough understanding of technical terminology
  • A demonstrated ability to pick up technical subject matter quickly and to ask the questions needed to determine the relevant aspects of a technical Proposal
  • Perform competition analysis to develop a winning strategy
    • Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 5+ years of Relevant experience in technical writing for IT consulting proposals and solution documents.
  • Experience with Tier 1 or Tier 2 IT consulting firms
  • Hands-on experience in U.S. industry (SLED & Federal) projects.
  • Strong familiarity with IT project lifecycle, solutioning, and staffing models (W2, C2C, 1099).
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with SMEs, project managers, recruiters, and leadership teams.
  • Passionate, adaptable, and a strong team player.
    • Preferred Skills
  • APMP, PMP, ITIL, or similar certifications (added advantage).
  • Experience in RFP/RFI/RFQ responses.
    • Knowledge of federal procurement processes and compliance requirements.
