GENERAL PURPOSE OF THE JOB

A Technician I, Desktop Support is responsible for desktop/mobile, telecommunication and network setup, support and resolving escalated issues. This position must have strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate face to face as well as via telephone to troubleshoot desktop applications and programs, and escalates difficult issues to minimize computer downtime as necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Install, troubleshoot and configure computers, printers and other peripherals as needed.

  • Install, troubleshoot and configure software onto desktops, laptops and mobile devices as necessary.

  • Escalate problems as needed to other 2nd level support groups within predetermined time limit. Work closely with other 2nd level support groups to research, document and resolve issues affect...
