Job Summary:
The Certified Ophthalmology Technician I works under the supervision of the Clinical Supervisor, assumes the responsibility and accountability of performing Ophthalmic tests on patients as requested by Ophthalmologist.
Essential Responsibilities:
Provides direct and indirect patient care associated with physician office visit.
Assist provider in the examination and treatment of ophthalmology patients. This assistance includes but is not limited to the following: Examine records and forms and prepares patients for current exam and treatments. Prepare appropriate equipment and instruments for surgery and follow-up care. Assists Ophthalmologist by performing technical tests and records results for procedures for the ophthalmologists analysis and interpretation. Assist in refractive/diagnostic procedures to include manual manifest refractions, auto-refractometry, corneal topography, pachymetry, keratometry, ocular photograph...
