Overview

This position requires Schedule Availability:

The Metrology Technician provides incoming inspection services and performs precision measurements on samples provided by SQEs or process engineers. It guarantees the data obtained and keeps the records in according to the procedures. Manage tools and equipment within the laboratory as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Perform dimensionals studies on raw material samples or internal assemblies.
  • Perform inspections on the drawings to verify that the specifications are according to the part to be measured.
  • Develop incoming inspection methods, including routines on automated equipment, work instructions, and train other associates or quality inspectors as required.
  • Provide or coordinate internal calibration service and coordinate external calibration of equipment.
  • Maintain the PM database.
