Major/Essential Functions
Mow, edge and trim turf areas, collect debris daily, weed planting beds, water trees, shrubs, flowers and turf areas, spread sand, remove snow and ice from walkways.Assist in installation and maintenance of signs, barricades, fences and irrigation systems, including digging lines, replacing heads and valves.Plants trees, shrubs, ground cover, using proper horticultural techniques. Use hand tools, such as shovels, rakes, pruning saws, hedge trimmers.Enforce parking rules and regulations on campus by issuing citations, immobilizing vehicles, overseeing vehicle impounds. Work special events.Control parking lot entrances. Set up cones, barricades, and other parking control devices to events. Collect and properly store such equipment post-event.Perform lot utilization and space inventory counts as required.
