Techno Functional Business Analyst (Python_Pandas_SQL_AppSupport)

Maltem Asia is seeking a Techno Functional Business Analyst for a Wealth Management Client based in Singapore.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain sustainable data products and/or systems in end-to-end data operation process. Responsible for bringing in asset-level data on corporate’s Private Markets investments into the Organization's platform environment, and ensuring the quality of the data provided.
• Create prototypes of data products based on user requirements to digitalize existing manual processes and collaborate with the technology group to systematize prototypes into the Enterprise Architecture.
• Ensure smooth execution of business‑as‑usual (BAU) processes through effective implementation of data products, providing technical support to maintain operational efficiency.
• Conduct User Research and Usability Testing to ensure data products meet user needs and expectations, iterating on designs based on feedback to achieve optimal product‑user fit.
• Adhere to Agile and DevOps practices in building data products by utilizing CI/CD pipelines and ensuring proper version control in code management.
• Develop comprehensive technical and user documentation for all data products developed, ensuring documentation is up‑to‑date and accessible for users and developers.
• Provide continuous support and enhancements on the data product required, ensuring product uptime as per agreed SLA with the business.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Ensure clear and effective communication with all stakeholders regarding data requirements and timelines.

Mandatory Skillsets

• Possess a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or relevant technical discipline.
• At least 5 years of relevant experience in data solutioning, process re‑engineering, and digital product development.
• Exposure to financial services industry is preferred, and experience in private markets is advantageous.
• Possess knowledge and strong passion in data governance, data quality, and data management.
• Good engineering experience and practices in SQL, and/or any relational database/warehouse (e.g., Postgres, Oracle, Snowflake).

• Ability to engage with business to understand business needs and translate them into data solutions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast‑paced environment.
• Possess strong learning agility, self‑driven, pro‑active, and a great sense of purpose to relook at existing data usage.
• Comfortable in attaining new skills through use of new technology tools and systems.
• Good team player, with strong analytical skills and enjoy complex problem‑solving.

Good‑to‑have

• Good Engineering experience and practices in the following:
• Java/C# (.NET Core), and/or similar OOP frameworks
• Unix, Shell scripting
• Docker/Kubernetes/GitHub workflow, and/or other DevOps capabilities
• AWS services such as Glue/Batch, S3, SQS, SNS, EKS
• Federated query tools such as Denodo, Presto/Trino, Starburst
• UI/UX frameworks such as React, Angular
