<p><p><b>Description:</b> Job Description General Manager (Franchise Business Paints)<br/><br/><b>Department:</b> Franchise Development & Sales Paints Division<br/><br/><b>Company:</b> Techno Paints<br/><br/><b>Reporting To:</b> Director Sales & Marketing / Managing Director<br/><br/><b>Job Purpose:</b><br/><br/>To lead and expand the Techno Paints Franchise Network across India by establishing strong franchise partnerships exclusively for paint products. The GM will ensure sustainable growth in franchise-led sales, consistent brand standards, and profitability across all franchise outlets.<br/><br/><b>Key Development & Expansion:</b><br/><br/>- Identify, evaluate, and onboard new franchise partners to expand Techno Paints market presence.<br/><br/>- Develop a strategic plan for franchise expansion in key cities and towns.<br/><br/>- Negotiate franchise agreements and ensure compliance with company policies.<br/><br/>- Plan regional roll-out and monitor performance of new franchise outlets.<br/><br/><b>Sales & Revenue Growth:</b><br/><br/>- Drive paint material sales through the franchise channel and achieve revenue and collection targets.<br/><br/>- Ensure product availability, timely supply, and proper stock management at each franchise.<br/><br/>- Work closely with the franchise team to ensure profitability and sales growth.<br/><br/>- Monitor and support franchisees in achieving monthly and quarterly sales objectives.<br/><br/><b>Franchise Operations & Support:</b><br/><br/>- Standardize franchise operations to align with Techno Paints business model.<br/><br/>- Train and guide franchise partners on product range, color consultancy, and sales process.<br/><br/>- Coordinate with Production, Dispatch, and Supply Chain teams to ensure smooth supply flow.<br/><br/>- Review operational performance and initiate improvement plans when required.<br/><br/><b>Marketing & Brand Visibility:</b><br/><br/>- Work with marketing to implement local promotional activities and campaigns for franchise outlets.<br/><br/>- Ensure all franchise stores maintain brand identity, display standards, and uniform look.<br/><br/>- Facilitate color studio setups and dealer branding at franchise locations.<br/><br/><b>Relationship & Performance Management:</b><br/><br/>- Maintain healthy relationships with all franchise owners and resolve issues promptly.<br/><br/>- Conduct business review meetings and periodic audits for performance evaluation.<br/><br/>- Provide franchise partners with timely support in marketing, operations, and finance coordination.<br/><br/><b>Reporting & Strategy:</b><br/><br/>- Submit regular reports on franchise sales, collections, and performance metrics.<br/><br/>- Recommend business strategies to increase market penetration and franchise profitability.<br/><br/>- Analyze franchise ROI and ensure sustained growth of each outlet.<br/><br/><b>Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):</b><br/><br/>- Number of new franchise outlets opened<br/><br/>- Paint material sales and collection achievement through franchises<br/><br/>- Profitability per franchise and network-wide growth<br/><br/>- Franchise compliance with operational and brand standards<br/><br/>- Franchise retention and satisfaction score<br/><br/><b>Desired Candidate MBA in Marketing / Business Management or B.Tech (Civil / Chemical / Mechanical 12 - 18 years in Paints Franchise / Dealer Development / Channel Sales, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role in the paint industry.<br/><br/><b>Skills & Competencies:</b><br/><br/>- In-depth knowledge of paint industry sales and distribution<br/><br/>- Strong understanding of franchise and dealer operations<br/><br/>- Excellent negotiation and business development skills<br/><br/>- Leadership and team management capabilities<br/><br/>- Commercial acumen, planning, and analytical ability<br/><br/><b>Work Location:</b><br/><br/>- Techno Paints Head Office / Key Franchise Attractive salary with performance-based incentives and franchise growth bonuses</p><br/></p> (ref:iimjobs.com)
