Job Summary

The Telecom Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s telecommunications and related communication services. This role focuses on managing vendors, budgets, and projects to ensure reliable voice, data, television, and other communication services that support business objectives. The position emphasizes leadership, planning, and process improvement rather than hands-on technical work. Work is performed in a mix of in-office and remote settings.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage all telecommunications and communication services across the organization, including phone systems, VoIP, mobile services, internet connectivity, and television services

  • Oversee vendor relationships, including contract negotiation, service agreements, and performance management

  • Develop and manage telecom and communication budgets, track expenses, and identify opportunities for cost savings

  • Plan and manage telecom-related projects, including system upgrades, migrations, and new site deployments

  • Monitor service performance and address operational issues in collaboration with internal teams

  • Establish policies, procedures, and best practices for telecom and communication service management

  • Coordinate with IT, finance, and business units to support communication needs and strategic initiatives

  • Maintain accurate documentation of telecom and communication assets, contracts, and service inventories

  • Provide leadership and guidance to team members responsible for day-to-day operations

  • Stay informed on industry trends and emerging technologies to support organizational planning

Required Qualifications

  • Proven experience managing telecommunications, television, and related communication services, vendors, and budgets

  • Strong leadership, organizational, and project management skills

  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively

  • Strategic thinking and problem-solving skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience managing multi-site or enterprise telecom and communication operations

  • Familiarity with VoIP, unified communications platforms, and television/cable services

  • Experience optimizing telecom, television, and communication costs and contracts
