Telecommunications Field Technician

Cyient has an immediate opening for a Field Technician in our Telecommunications Business Unit. The role focuses on Outside Plant (OSP) field data collection in Ontario, including surveys of telecom poles, structures, and street measurements to support fiber designs.

This position requires extensive travel (up to 95% of time), with company‑covered food and lodging and mileage reimbursement for personal vehicle use.

Responsibilities

• Travel to multiple job locations daily to review proposed fiber facilities, telecom infrastructure, and designs for field accuracy, proposing adjustments when needed.
• Perform field surveys (ISP/OSP), take detailed notes, photos, and sketches of on‑site findings.
• Take field measurements and photos of utility poles, equipment, cables, proposed equipment cabinets/boxes, and street dimensions.
